when did you start to bounce on a yoga ball to induce labor?
did it work? how did you do it? how far along where you? first time mom 38 weeks & due the 16th. doc said it would be ok…
I didn’t use a ball to induce labor…
I used a yoga ball for proper back support when sitting at my computer, and for hip rotations to help get the baby into a good position…I started using it around 25 weeks or so, and usually only when I watched TV or sat at my desk…
I didn’t bounce on it.
I rocked and swiveled my pelvis, I used it for stretching.

Also induction, especially when mom and babe aren;t ready is the leading cause of c-section.
Bouncing on a yoga ball?
I don’t have one. Will bouncing on the edge of my couch do the trick to help get labour started?
I have tried pretty much everything else to get labour going. With my daughter all I remember is that I bounced on the edge of the couch while I was in labour and having a contraction. And I had my daughter 4 hours after feeling the first contraction. I know it helped with bringing her down so maybe it’ll help get things going this time?
Having sex is the best thing to do! (If you are comfortable enough for that). Also, if you can, ride a stationary bike (NOT a real bike). Labor isn’t going to start because you bounce around a lot.
What can I do to get labor started?
I am 2cm dilated, and 50% effaced. This is my 2nd baby! My husband and I have been having sex every day! I’ve been walking, and bouncing on my yoga ball. Only safe ideas please! I am so ready.
